When we walked through Nerja we discovered that we rent the best place in the whole village. Even when it was november, we had very sunny times at the beach (with paella) and loved to see the beautifull little streets, with their shops. So I thought I want to come back with my daughter (7) who loves the sea and swimming into it, in a good season for that. She has her holiday at the 14the of octobre untill 21. We were at Malaga airport when I realised I'd left my shirt behind and it took a while before we could get the pay phone to work. Next time I'll get the kids to check my room after me! We had an absolutely fabulous time and despite nearly melting out there at times, we are now missing the heat! Nerja is a beautiful place and perfect for families, even those with young teenagers. The villa (Oasis de Capistrano - Tetuan 32) was actually better than expected (the photos on line didn't do it justice), lovely and clean and well kitted out and we appreciated the provisions left for us. The house was lovely. The weather was great while we were there. It did get cold at night and Bernadette did provide us some electric heaters for the bedrooms, when we addressed it with her. That was important because my cousin is recovering from cancer and we could not afford for her to get sick. That house probably needs heat set up in the bedrooms for winter rentals. One note--- we left before our cousins and they noted that the back garden took a hit from a really bad windstorm our last night there. A large potted plant blew over and broke. They meant to mention to Bernadette but forgot to when they returned the key. Thanks for filling the pool, it really made the back yard enjoyable and we were able to use the backyard grill one day and cooked out. The DVD was great too and we were able to watch alot of great movies that my cousins brought. Thanks for arranging that for us. I assume that DVD deposit check will be torn up---correct? The Garden Apartment was excellent - we liked it a lot with it's open area / windows. It was very nice to sit on the terrace as well down at the pool. There is a cafe, Cafe del Mare, along the road at Burriana Beach owned by an former English actor. Very very good - do recommend to book a table in advance. We drove some 1000 km during this week - down to the Hot Springs Gibraltar - well ... Frigiliana yes!!!! Alhama (what an excperience to drive in the old town) - we did find the hot springs - they are two km on the way to Granada - turn left just before the Alhama River - small but hot. Granada and Alhambra yes!!! And a lot of other things.... Does Inter Sol also operate outside Spain? Thanks Anders & Liisa

We had a great time staying in Las Fuentes which was just the right size for us with all mod cons and a good sized pool. As we'd mentioned to you when booking, my father-in-law finds it difficult to walk very far and Las Fuentes was ideal, being in the centre near to shops/bars and only a 5 min walk from the Balcon de Europa. Despite being so very close to the centre of the town the apartment was very peaceful and free from traffic noise. Thanks too for your restaurant recommendations. Nerja has many excellent places to eat to suit all tastes and budgets and your recommendations helped us to find many of these. I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at La Hacienda in Nerja last February/March. Everything turned out perfect, the condo was cute and comfortable, and Nerja is a pretty, if not noisy town (especially at rush hour). We rented a car at Malaga airport and found our way to Nerja, and La Hacienda, in the dark. That was a bit tricky. We also went to Granada, Frigliana, and along the coast to Gibraltar. The south of Spain is beautiful. Actually, the whole trip was great. We were in Europe for 5 months and the time just flew by. We arrived back in Canada on July 13. Great experience, great memories. Once again, thanks for all your help and if we ever go back to the south of Spain, we will keep Nerja and La Hacienda in mind. Paul Fournier

The villa was absolutley fantastic, very clean comfortable and everything we needed just to hand .The kitchen from a mothers point of view had everything you have at home ie . microwave cooker/oven fridge freezer, washing machine. The lounge had sat tv for the kids which came in very handy when it was too hot , also very comfortable furniture. This villa has the most fantastic pool , which by the way you need a key to enter , so very exclusive and private with beautiful gardens . It is very close to Burriana beach so most evening we made our way down there for a meal . The restaurants were all great especially AYO'S were you get the most fantastic paella. Real charm, variety and mellow atmosphere. Not sure how it might be in the Summer though! Found everything in order. Had a snoop around some of your other 'urbanizacions' too for future reference perhaps - particularly atBajamar which we had originally hoped to book. Weather was lovely of course. We kept on bumping into people who were saying that they were moving out there! Makes you think. Our son enjoyed himself v. much as it was all accessible especially the food and the beach - though too cold to actually swim I think and a heated pool would have been really special. ! Great little general store just down the road was a useful discovery. the only small thing is.....there should be smoke alarms! (We brought our own!!) given gas cookers / lots of people smoking etc. I know that each property is differently organised/equipped. We had German language TV!! (not my favourite, but it had its moments). Anyway, really couldn't fault it overall, property was extremely clean, well equipped, well located as per the description, very friendly and discreet maintenance people and very good value!
